professionals and artists, their publications, their stories and how to start

DEFINITIONS:

Licensing is defined as "to grant a license to (someone or something) to permit the use of something or to allow an activity to take place" – New Oxford American Dictionary

Art licensing has also been defined in the professional world as: "the business of leasing a copyrighted or trademarked property, in this case a work of art, by means of contractual agreement (a license), for a specified product (or promotion or service), for a specific time period, in an agreed-upon territory, for an agreed upon fee or royalty." – Michael Woodward. He is also the author of Licensing Art 101, a helpful handbook on the basics of art licensing.
